In cooperation with the 3rd Health Prefecture, the scientific personnel of Thessaloniki’s HCDCP carried out two educational workshops aimed at educating and activating health workers who, under the supervision of Thessaloniki’s HCDCP, will be involved as educators on HIV/AIDS-STDs-related issues for the events of the ‘Social School’.
- The first training, on 30 October 2014, took place at the facilities of the 3rd H.P. and addressed health professionals from health units in Thessaloniki and Central Macedonia (Western Thessaloniki, Imathia, Pella, Pieria).
In total, 24 health workers took part, including specialist psychologists, social workers and health visitors.
- The second training on 31 October, took place at the General Hospital “Mamatseio” of Kozani and addressed health workers from units of western Macedonia (Kozani, Grevena, Kastoria, Florina).
A total of 18 health workers took part, including specialist psychologists, speech therapists, social workers, health visitors, midwives and doctors.
The educational workshops were carried out by Mrs. Goma Fani, head of Thessaloniki’s HCDCP, Counseling Psychologist, and Mrs. Chalkidou Sofia, Health Psychologist. The head of the program for the ‘Social School’ at the 3rd H.P. is Mrs. Psilopoulou Anastasia, forewoman of the Directorate of Planning and Development Policies of Health Services and Social Solidarity.
